Myresume Ios — Privacy Policy

MyResume, listed as Myresume Ios, is published by GOWALK - FZCO. This policy explains how the résumé editor, optional online tools and support pages handle your information.

Documents and files

Résumés, cover letters, job applications, practice notes, photos and editing history are saved on your device. The app does not automatically upload this library. You choose files and photos through your device's picker. Imported photos are normalized and their embedded metadata is removed from the app's copy.

Offline layouts create PDF, Word and text files on your device. Sharing or saving an exported file sends it to the destination you choose; that destination has its own privacy practices. Deleting an app document does not delete copies you previously exported or shared. Device backup and restore are controlled by your operating system and its settings.

The Original collection uses the existing MyResume online rendering service. Previewing or exporting one of those designs sends the document fields needed for that design, including contact details and your photo when present, to create the output. Choose an offline layout if you do not want that rendering request.

Optional AI assistance

Online writing, translation, interview preparation and assisted import require your permission. They send the selected source text, instructions and relevant job description to our backend and to AI providers through OpenRouter. Writing requests exclude the separate contact and photo fields, but personal information you put inside selected text is still included. Assisted file import sends the file you choose; it can contain personal information.

Our backend does not save résumé text or generated responses for ordinary assistance requests. Requests select provider routes marked for no training and zero content retention, currently through Microsoft Azure or Google Vertex AI. These routing settings are not a promise about every provider's security or legally required records. See OpenRouter's data handling information.

You review suggestions before applying them. Turn writing assistance off in Settings to stop new requests. If you report a generated result, the selected report content is sent separately so we can investigate it.

Online identity and purchases

Using protected online tools creates a Firebase guest account and a device installation identity. Firebase Authentication and App Check verify the account and app. Our backend stores the installation's public key, account identifier and request records to prevent misuse and enforce allowances. Network addresses are processed for security and rate limits.

Apple or Google handles payments. We do not receive your card details. The app and backend use purchase references and subscription status to verify access. Anonymous purchase hashes keep the same allowance across restores and plan changes; raw purchase references are not stored in the usage database.

Diagnostics and service providers

Google Analytics for Firebase records feature usage, device or app information, and approximate location inferred from network information, such as country or city. It does not use precise GPS location. Firebase Crashlytics records crash diagnostics. These options are enabled by default and can be switched off in Settings. We do not include document text, account tokens or free-form exception messages in our custom events and error reports. Firebase Remote Config supplies the original template catalogue. Cloudflare delivers the public pages and online service routes. Hosting, Firebase, AI providers, Apple and Google process the information needed to provide their respective services. Processing can take place outside your country. We do not sell your résumé content or use it for advertising.

Retention and deletion

Local documents remain until you delete them or remove the app's data. Online content reports are removed after 30 days and usage records after 32 days. Request nonces expire after one day. Unused purchase aliases are removed after 32 days when they no longer support retained usage. Diagnostic and provider security records follow the relevant provider's retention rules.

Use Settings → Delete online account and data to remove your Firebase guest account and submitted reports. If the provider is temporarily unavailable, the deletion remains pending and can be retried. Anonymous usage can remain for up to 32 days to prevent allowance abuse; a retired device public key and deletion receipt remain to prevent replay. Your local documents remain available.

Deleting an account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it through Apple or Google's subscription settings. You can export your local documents and use Settings → Export online account data to obtain the online records associated with your installation.

Requests without the app

You can request account or data deletion without reinstalling MyResume through the support form. Use the subject “Delete MyResume account” and explain which records you want removed. Include an installation identifier from a previous account-data export if you have it. We may ask for information needed to locate the records and verify your authority; do not send passwords, payment-card details or an entire résumé.
